■Details of the Processing Technology After shot blasting the base material to form a rough surface, a blastron coating is applied, which excels in wear resistance and adhesion, resulting in a dense and smooth finish (hard chromium carbide plating). On top of this, a low-friction and high-hardness DLC treatment is applied. When the base material is stainless steel (excluding hardened products), directly applying the DLC treatment can lead to a high probability of peeling due to the significant hardness difference. By introducing a hard chromium carbide plating as an intermediate layer, this issue is resolved, and the unique smooth surface of the blastron coating allows the DLC to follow, providing excellent smoothness. <Supplement> The low friction coefficient of the DLC treatment combined with the point contact effect results in exceptional sliding properties. However, if there is a large hardness difference with the base material, peeling may occur. The blastron coating has a hardness of around HV1000, making it a softer surface treatment than the DLC treatment. It has excellent adhesion to the base material. By combining the properties of both the DLC treatment and the blastron coating, further improvements in sliding performance can be achieved.
