The customer was troubled by the enormous costs and manpower associated with snow removal, such as "snow brought in near the tunnel" and "snow removal from road signs on the main line," as well as the social issues that inadvertently arise. In response, we laid a snow-melting mat about the size of 2 to 3 tatami mats in a space within the Yuzawa Interchange in Yuzawa Town, Niigata Prefecture, known for heavy snowfall, where people do not enter, and conducted snow-melting trials. We monitored the area with a network camera, and throughout one season, we achieved excellent snow-melting effects, which has led to great confidence.
