Compact inline reduction gear with tilting and reversing load holding function for railway applications.
No need for brake or stopper! It can hold the load while stopped and allows work or experiments to be conducted at an angle. The input and output shafts are aligned in a straight line, making it smart and compact!
Equipped with a self-developed load-holding (self-lock) deceleration function (shoji-lock), it can maintain load even if the movement is stopped during the ascent, rotation, or tilting of the device. This feature is suitable for requests such as wanting to conduct experiments or perform tasks at a stopped position. Additionally, it can operate and maintain load even without power during emergencies. It has been introduced as a mechanical component in various applications, including semiconductor manufacturing equipment, automotive assembly lines, and plant lid opening and closing. Another feature is that, unlike conventional worm gear reducers which require a considerable amount of space due to the perpendicular arrangement of the input and output shafts, our design has the input and output shafts aligned in a straight line (inline), allowing for a lightweight, smart, and compact design that can be easily integrated into various devices. The lineup can be selected based on output shaft torque and reduction ratio. For some products, all-stainless steel manufacturing is available for cleanroom compatibility. The basic coating is a black Teflon coating that is resistant to rust. *For more details, please visit our official website or feel free to contact us.*

basic information
Five Features of S-Reducer (5S) - Self Lock = Maintains the stopping position of the output shaft. - Simple = Compact, lightweight, and economical. - Strong = Excellent strength and durability. - Silent = Operates quietly without ratchet noise. - Safely = Maintenance-free with a sealed structure that does not require grease replacement. We offer a wide range of products utilizing this mechanism. (Patents obtained in Japan, EU, USA, South Korea, Taiwan, and China.)

Applications/Examples of results
Space-saving can be achieved compared to worm gear reducers. Efficiency is also good. Many applications are adopted for equipment that requires self-holding during operation, such as raising and lowering furnaces and opening and closing doors. Used by semiconductor equipment manufacturers, automotive manufacturers (factories), plant manufacturers, and in the architecture and interior design fields.

Company information
The load-holding function equipped reduction mechanism (shoji-lock) has been developing applied products such as winches and rack jacks since the early 2000s. Steady sales activities have borne fruit, and it has begun to be adopted for various applications. Unlike conventional worm reduction gears with self-locking functions where the input and output shafts are orthogonal, this mechanism has them aligned in a straight line (inline), allowing for a compact design and space-saving, which has received high praise, resulting in a diverse range of practical examples. (Patents have been obtained in Japan, the United States, the EU (Germany, France, the UK), China, South Korea, and Taiwan.) Furthermore, starting in April 2023, we launched a new business for overseas parts procurement, beginning with Vietnam. Currently, a majority of our parts are also procured overseas, and we hope to leverage our achievements and network to assist companies struggling with cost reduction in parts procurement.
