For the screws used to secure the rafters to the horizontal supports in wooden building roofs, we recommend the adoption of the "Z-mark certified square hole tapping screws STS6.5, F135, F180," which clearly state the allowable values for rafter joints based on tests conducted by the Japan Housing and Wood Technology Center. This product has also obtained the X (cross) mark certification for CLT construction methods. With a special surface treatment called “acexma Eco” (which has received anti-corrosion performance certification), these screws allow for less resistance and stress-free screwing operations on CLT and various types of laminated wood.
