The sample is attached to a constant temperature heating element that simulates human body temperature. The heat loss (heat dissipation) that passes through this sample within a certain time is measured, and this is compared to the heat loss (heat dissipation) measured in a bare state without the sample on the constant temperature heating element. The difference in heat loss is calculated as the insulation rate.
