The greatest feature of the Trimble X12 system is its ability to automatically and accurately synthesize point clouds between each station. After scanning is complete, the Trimble X12 automatically transfers all data to a tablet using high-speed Wi-Fi communication. The Perspective software, which operates on a tablet PC, synthesizes the point clouds obtained between stations quickly and reliably using its unique logic. Since the synthesis process is completely automated, the observer only needs to proceed with the scanning tasks one after another. This not only eliminates the need for the installation of multiple targets on-site, observation of target positions, and the collection or movement of those targets, but also removes the necessity for synthesis work using software after returning to the office.
