Why immersion cooling? / Development Background The immersion cooling system has recently gained attention as a cooling solution for the era of high heat generation. The water-cooled cold plate method is becoming inadequate for circulating water to numerous heat-generating components. Compared to oil immersion, the use of special refrigerants allows for boiling latent heat cooling and improves the maintenance of the boards. 【Features】 - Cooling is achieved by immersing the server. 【Cooling Capacity】 Over 50kW/system - There is no need for rack arrangements considering airflow as in conventional systems, which enhances space efficiency in data centers. - Energy-saving effects significantly reduce power consumption. - Cooling can be achieved without using mechanical cooling, i.e., compressors. - In a single-phase system, a special high-boiling refrigerant is drawn externally for heat transfer, requiring cooling and return via a chiller. In a two-phase system, due to the low boiling point, the vaporized special refrigerant can be condensed back into liquid within the tank using a condenser.
