**Why measure a person's posture and movements?** The ease or difficulty with which a person handles objects manifests unconsciously in their posture and movements. For example, the way one opens an easy-to-open container differs from that of a difficult one. Furthermore, the way one walks varies between comfortable shoes and uncomfortable ones. Additionally, the state of a person's body, whether good or bad, is also reflected in their posture and movements. For instance, changes in walking posture can occur due to aging or illness. Research has shown that individuals at higher risk for dementia tend to have slower walking speeds. Conversely, those who regularly engage in physical training exhibit the benefits in their walking posture. **Why can it be measured without markers?** A depth camera captures data on the entire body shape of a person (surface point cloud data). However, this data alone does not provide information about joint positions. By overlaying this data with a standard human model of a similar height, it is possible to determine joint positions.
