[Technical Column] "Report on Joint Research Results Regarding Fin Contact Thermal Resistance"
Introduction to the contact thermal resistance of pipe and piping outer wrap folding fins!
In this column, we report excerpts from the results of collaborative research conducted with a professor from Mie University regarding the contact thermal resistance during the installation of externally wrapped folding fins on pipes. In this collaborative research, a heater was inserted into the center of a copper cylinder, and experiments were conducted under natural convection conditions with fins wrapped around it. By measuring various points, we evaluated the effectiveness of the fins, comparisons based on the method of securing the fins, and the effects of thermal conductive sheets. We encourage you to read it. *For more detailed information about the column, please refer to the related links. Feel free to contact us for further inquiries.*
