The fastening method for CFRP generally takes significantly more cost and time compared to other materials. The processing of pilot holes for fastening requires both cost and technical expertise. Our self-piercing rivets do not require pilot holes and can fasten CFRP and dissimilar materials in one step. They are also used in mass production by European OEMs, fastening CFRP and steel with our self-piercing rivets. In some cases, fastening may not be possible depending on the counterpart material, plate thickness, and fastening direction. We can conduct fastening tests to verify whether fastening with self-piercing rivets is possible for the plate assembly that the customer wishes to use.
