Frequent cutting troubles with the chains used for conveyor transport. Here is a case study introducing the implementation of magnetic proximity switches!
At a wood processing manufacturer, there were frequent troubles with the conveyor for transporting "particle boards (3×6 feet × 80 sheets/1 lot)." There were requests such as, "The top chain's conveyor rotation speed reaches 1,650 RPM, which is the material's lifespan, so we want to replace it before that," and "We want a sensor that can reliably count so that we can ensure it wears out by 1,650 RPM." Therefore, we installed the magnetic proximity switch "DW-350" made by Makome Research Institute under the conveyor and attached the magnetic body "SMG-100N" to the top chain. As a result of the improvement, by installing the "DW-350," we were able to manage the count of the top chain, transitioning from reactive maintenance to preventive maintenance. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

basic information
**Case Overview (Partial)** ■Trouble Case (Request) - The top chain's conveyor speed reaches 1,650 RPM, which is the material's lifespan, so we want to replace it before that. - We want to shift from "reactive maintenance" to "preventive maintenance." - Since it is wood processing work, photoelectric sensors cannot be used due to dust interference. - We want a sensor that can reliably count so that we can ensure wear up to 1,650 RPM. ■Trouble Situation and Loss - Trouble Frequency: 1 time/57,600 seconds (2 days of operation) - Trouble Recovery Time: 1,200 seconds/1 time - Loss: 18,500 yen/day, 37,000 yen/2 days ■Points for Improvement and Expected Customer Benefits - The DW-350 is a non-contact type that detects up to 40mm. - A magnetic body is installed upside down on the top chain, allowing for 2-channel output to reliably count the RPM. - The DW-350's magnetic detection element is equipped with a "saturable coil." ■Effects and Benefits of Improvement - Trouble Frequency: 0 times/28,800 seconds - Trouble Recovery Time: 0 seconds/1 time - Line Downtime: 0 seconds - Loss: 0 yen/day *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
