We have been using a stirrer for drug formulation, and until now, the mixing conditions have been managed by timing with the stirrer's button. Although we change the stirring time based on seasonal conditions, managing it by time means that any malfunction can lead to insufficient stirring and result in product defects. There have been requests such as "I want to monitor whether the stirrer is definitely running" and "I want to manage the stirrer's rotation speed and shorten the changeover time." We installed the magnetic proximity switch "DW-100" made by Makome Research Institute on the stirrer, placing the "DW-100" next to the stirrer shaft, and attaching the magnetic bodies "SMG-100N" and "SMG-100S" half a turn each on the shaft.
