Seal Hard is a colorless, odorless, and environmentally friendly concrete surface hardener that is non-polluting. It is a colorless and transparent liquid primarily composed of sodium silicate, which penetrates the surface of the concrete after application. Through a chemical reaction with the concrete components, it generates a glass-like substance on the surface of the concrete. This chemical reaction continues over time with regular water washing for moisture replenishment. Concrete strengthened by Seal Hard becomes more beautiful and glossy with use and regular water washing over the years. Even when a gloss develops, it does not become slippery. This application was divided into two parts. After the first application, a minimum of two weeks of floor curing is performed before the second application. The second application involves polishing to finish the floor. It results in a stronger and more beautiful gloss than the standard specifications. Additionally, maintenance remains easy, and due to the polishing, it results in a strong floor that is even more resistant to dirt.

  Before construction - Substrate The first construction was carried out about 10 days after the concrete floor was poured.

  [Preparation of the Base] In the first round of construction, we will thoroughly prepare the base. The outcome will vary depending on how much Lion Hard is applied to the floor in the first round. This process is directly linked to the final result.

  [Lion Hard] Initially, we planned to apply Seal Hard twice. However, considering the unstable autumn weather in Hokuriku and the conditions before applying the exterior wall, we communicated with the designer about the possibility of exposure to rain and decided to switch to the rain-resistant Lion Hard. Its abrasion resistance is equivalent to Seal Hard, and it also reduces the risk of efflorescence, so we chose this option this time.

  Lion Hard Construction Basically, the construction method is the same as Seal Hard. Apply generously with a mop in both directions.

  We will carry out the finishing work carefully. The edges and surroundings of the pillars greatly affect the overall finish. We touched them as much as possible.

  [End of the first round] This is the appearance after the Lion Hard application. There is already a glossy feel. Additionally, by applying Seal Hard during the middle of the construction, dust does not rise from the concrete. Management for other trades and the general contractor becomes easier as well.

  【Second Application_Seal Hard】 The second application will take place about one month after the first. This time, we will carry out a thorough finishing. We will take our time and perform the polishing carefully.

  Petrotex Water Absorption Suppressant The floor finished with Seal Hard will be finished with Petrotex the next day. By applying this, water absorption of oil is suppressed, making the floor less prone to oil penetration.
