The acceleration of digital technology and the increasing complexity of devices have made it more difficult for engineers to isolate abnormalities in devices, as the signals being measured have become more complex. For testing tools designed for such applications, a wide dynamic range measurement is necessary to examine very small signals amidst relatively large amplitudes. Siglent's new high-resolution oscilloscope, the SDS2000X HD series, is available with bandwidths of 100, 200, and 350 MHz. Equipped with a 2GSa/s, 12-bit ADC front end, it achieves a very low noise floor, allowing for a more accurate understanding of signal details, enabling engineers to measure waveforms more accurately. The vertical resolution of an oscilloscope refers to the ratio of the maximum input signal that the oscilloscope can process to the minimum signal amplitude that can be detected. The higher the resolution, the clearer the details of the waveform become, reducing quantization noise and improving measurement accuracy.
