The "IoT Water Level Gauge (Crisis Management Type Water Level Gauge)" is a water level gauge for river flood countermeasures. Sakata Electric handles the water level gauge, control and power supply, while NTT Docomo is responsible for communication technology and cloud technology. In December 2017, it received an evaluation for compliance with technical specifications from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. The water level gauge can be selected from three types suitable for rivers: "Hydraulic," "Ultrasonic," and "Radio." 【Water Level Gauge Lineup】 ■Hydraulic Type - Sensors with high measurement accuracy and long-term durability. - Differential transformer type sensors that are resistant to temperature changes, noise, and insulation degradation, with strong environmental and lightning resistance, suitable for long-term operation. ■Ultrasonic Type - Detects water level by reflecting ultrasonic waves emitted from the sensor side off the water surface and measuring the transmission time until reception. - Non-contact type, making the device simple. ■Microwave Type - Detects water level by reflecting microwaves emitted from the sensor side off the water surface and measuring the transmission time until reception. - Compared to the non-contact ultrasonic type, it has a longer measurement range. - Suitable for measurements in areas with significant temperature gradients near the water surface.
