A sensor sensitive to SWIR light in the short-wavelength infrared region with a wavelength of 1000 to 2000 nm has been developed, and its use in fields such as factory automation for sorting and inspection, which are difficult to distinguish visually, is becoming more active. Our company aims to establish a monitoring system that is resilient to visibility deterioration caused by fog, rain, and other factors by utilizing this SWIR camera for disaster monitoring. In the rainfall estimation technology from CCTV footage, the wavelength is approximately twice that of visible light, which suppresses the scattering of light that causes visibility deterioration, making it less affected by fog, haze, and rain.
