Shigaraki ceramic pendant light "Senko" creates a spatial effect by allowing light to pass through.
This pendant light is inspired by washi paper lampshades, blending the tradition of Shigaraki pottery with light. Drawings and construction manuals are currently available.
"Spiral" is a pendant light that takes advantage of the characteristics of Shigaraki translucent pottery, which is thick yet allows light to pass through. The common lamp shade form is divided into polygons, twisted, and creased through computer operations, creating a rich expression. The technique of casting creates variations in thickness, resulting in shadows when the light is turned on.
