We will introduce the issues and challenges that Alps Alpine faced before implementing "onefabrica," as well as the key factors that led to its adoption. The company wanted to minimize woodworking as much as possible from the perspective of SDGs, but the system panels commonly used in Japan had low design quality. On the other hand, those with high design quality had issues with cost and originality, which prevented their adoption. The decision to implement "onefabrica" was influenced by the desire to popularize fabric in Japan and change the exhibition situation in the country. "We received feedback that not only does it consider the environment, but it also allows for bold designs that were difficult to achieve with traditional methods due to its lightness and compatibility with lighting, and the reputation from both inside and outside the company has been very positive."
