High reflection and high durability mirror, HR coating 'metal reflective film and enhanced reflective film'
A surface mirror coated with metals such as silver, aluminum, and gold on the surface of substrates like glass and resin achieves even higher reflectivity through optical thin film technology.
■Overview Since its founding, we have been producing "metal reflective films" (optical surface mirrors) for over half a century. For mirrors that require high reflectivity and excellent optical characteristics, such as those used in video projectors, LCD displays, and telescopes, please consult Geomatec, who is well-versed in "metal reflective films and enhanced reflective films."

basic information
■Features and Strengths - Proposing reflective films that utilize the properties of metals such as aluminum, silver, and gold according to their applications. Popular aluminum (Al) for visible/near-infrared mirrors, gold (Au) and silver (Ag) for high reflectivity, and alloys that enhance durability and secondary processing. With GeoMatic, which is well-versed in 'metal reflective films and enhanced reflective films,' we can propose various metals tailored to our customers' objectives. - Customization based on optical properties, electrical properties, and durability according to the usage environment is possible. By combining various metal reflective films with enhanced reflective films (dielectric multilayer films), we can alter optical properties such as the wavelength of reflected light, reflectivity, and angle of incidence dependence, enhance heat resistance and wear resistance with protective films, and change electrical properties through metal selection, allowing for a skillful balance of the necessary functions for our customers' products.

Applications/Examples of results
- Projector Achieving brighter and higher quality images. A reflective film optimized for the angle of incidence from the light source to the mirror is utilized. - Digital signage and electronic billboards By combining a backlight that controls the brightness of the LCD display with a "reflective film," light is used efficiently. This contributes to energy savings. - Door mirror Ensures rear visibility and contributes to safe driving. - Mirrors for bathrooms and washbasins A mirror that combines a metal reflective film with a hydrophilic film. It is less likely to fog up from steam and provides a clear view. - Reflecting telescope using a mirror A reflecting telescope that uses a metal reflective film. By using a "reflective film," it can achieve higher performance.
