Tunnel boring machines are amazing. The gigantic drill head, exceeding 16 meters, robustly penetrates rock and soil. The new Industry 4.0 features provide users with unique advantages by offering additional information about the process, in addition to pure process data (position/speed). Status and statistical data are recorded and processed during operation to better understand the processes within the application.
