[Case Study] Kimchi Manufacturing Factory - Oil and Fat Decomposition Wastewater Treatment Facility

We would like to introduce a case where we provided design, construction, and consulting services for a fat decomposition wastewater treatment facility at a kimchi manufacturing plant. In this facility, we adopted a fat decomposition system as a pretreatment for biological treatment, which is unsuitable for high concentrations of fats. This system breaks down fats into a form that is easier for biological treatment. For the biological treatment, we employed a contact aeration method that generates less excess sludge and is easier to maintain. In conventional treatment technologies, fats are difficult to decompose and can negatively affect microorganisms, making pretreatment of fats essential through methods such as grease traps and coagulation pressure flotation devices.
