Kihara's drum dryer improves drying efficiency by circulating warm air inside the dryer, achieving low fuel consumption. Additionally, the hand-mixing work required for drying the fern fronds is accomplished by a combination of diffusion fins installed inside the drum and the drum's rotation speed, allowing the material to rotate uniformly without tangling and creating a hand-mixing effect as it falls from the top of the drum. Fragments generated during drying are retained in the pull-out tray, making cleaning easy. The circulation port is also equipped with a sliding filter, allowing for easy removal of cotton debris from the fern fronds.
