The Keylex 4000 series has a setting with an "Emergency Opening Device." The "Emergency Opening Device" allows the door to be opened by pulling up the green cover at the bottom of the Keylex body and sliding the release lever in case of an emergency. This mechanism enables unlocking without having to enter a PIN or use a key. Even after breaking the cover to operate it, you can reuse it by simply purchasing a new cover component! In terms of usage cases, both outdoor and indoor applications often feature a dual-button type with the emergency opening device installed on one side. Normally, it operates with a PIN, allowing access in emergencies to exit externally or, conversely, to enter internally. Therefore, it is implemented in evacuation routes and emergency exits in facilities such as nursing homes, schools, hotels, and train stations. It can also be installed in areas where fire department guidance is required! For the dual-button type, it is compatible with keyed options and other manufacturers' cylinders (MIWA/GOAL/HORI cylinders). This feature contributes to reducing damage during disasters! *Please note that the door can be opened from the emergency opening device without entering a PIN, so handle it with care.
