The noise figure analyzer can identify the connection of the smart noise source and automatically load excess noise ratio data. Additionally, it can detect changes in environmental temperature for temperature compensation of the noise figure, improving the speed and accuracy of measurements.

【Downconverter Mode Measurement Application】 The system's downconverter mode focuses on the spectrum spreading measurement of the amplifier under test. When the frequency range of the amplifier under test exceeds the frequency range of the noise figure analyzer, the spectrum spreading measurement of the noise figure is achieved using an external mixer. The external mixer is used during calibration and measurement as part of the test system. To reduce the uncertainty of the noise figure measurement, the frequency conversion loss and noise figure of the selected mixer should be kept as low as possible. Additionally, the intermediate frequency output interface of the mixer must be sufficiently isolated from the local oscillator signal.
