A method to measure the "ease of wearing" of a school backpack using a markerless 3D motion measurement system is proposed!

To create a school backpack that children will love and use for a long time, it is important to consider "ease of carrying." When children try on various backpacks, there are indeed some that are easier to carry than others. However, understanding specifically how and where they differ can be difficult, making it challenging to improve the products. HAL Design Institute proposes a method to measure the "ease of carrying" of backpacks using our developed 'Markerless 3D Motion Measurement System.' As a result, we received feedback from clients stating that they understood the differences between "easy-to-carry" backpacks and those that are not, which helped them figure out how to design the main body and shoulder straps of an easy-to-carry backpack.
