Enabling effective leak response! A proposal to innovate the structure of the packing holder to resolve issues!
We received a consultation from a customer using a gland packing as a sealing material to stop leaks from a rotary valve, reporting that leaks were occurring. Gland packing requires regular tightening, but since they were using a simple type that could not be tightened, we switched to a rotary valve that allows for tightening. By tightening the gland packing, we can provide an immediate solution to the leak. In resolving this issue, we were able to achieve multiple benefits, and the customer was very pleased. [Issues] - It was found that powder was leaking from the shaft of the rotary valve. → Initially, we were monitoring the situation, but the leaks worsened, reaching a point where they could not be ignored. → It became clear that the effectiveness of the shaft seal's gland packing was deteriorating day by day. → We wondered if there was a way to address the gland packing to stop the leak. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
