During the extraction of coffee concentrate by pouring hot water into an extraction container filled with roasted coffee beans, carbon monoxide that had been adsorbed onto the roasted coffee beans was suddenly released and accumulated in the sealed extraction container. A stick used to level the coffee beans that had fallen into the container was attempted to be retrieved after extraction, resulting in an accident. The victim was affected while discharging the remaining coffee grounds and fell inside the container.
