Although we were already using business software, customization for adding or changing list items required additional licensing, prompting us to consider original development. During this process, we learned about a company that develops "Excel macros" and decided to explore the introduction of a proprietary system. ■Background of Implementation We thought that if the functionality was limited to data transfer, it could be handled using an Excel-based solution, leading us to adopt custom development using macro language. In addition to order management, due to warehouse shelving considerations, there was a request from on-site staff for "more than five patterns of packing lists," which led us to adopt Excel for report forms. Although the business software could output picking lists, it could not handle the maximum number of fields or allow for free ordering as standard features, which placed a burden on warehouse workers during shipping operations.
