Finally, we will introduce a case where the client came to our company, made adjustments in front of us, and was satisfied.
We received a request to create a large, shining moon that would leave a lasting impression on customers visiting the store. At the time of the request, demolition work was underway, and they wanted the moon to be made at the largest size that could fit through the second-floor window. While we had experience with smaller transparent FRP molds, this size was truly impressive. Initially, we considered adjusting the number of layers of glass fiber to express a mottled effect with colors similar to those of a real moon, and we began creating samples from there. The actual piece was reconstructed from data, and we focused on painting it as thinly and evenly as possible, incorporating real lighting to achieve a beautiful finish without any irregularities. In the end, the client came to our company to make adjustments in person, and they were extremely satisfied with the result. 【Request Details】 ■ Create a large, shining moon that leaves a lasting impression on customers visiting the store ■ Surrounded by murals that resemble being inside a spaceship ■ Make it at the largest size that can fit through the second-floor window *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

basic information
**Overview** - Initially, I thought about adjusting the number of layers of glass fiber to express the mottled appearance in a color similar to that of the actual moon, and from there, I began creating samples. - Gradually, I increased the size and repeatedly experimented with painting and crater expressions. - The biggest challenge was how to perform the monolithic molding. - While using existing spherical molds allows for a smooth surface, the issue of visible seams when joining hemispheres had to be overcome, as well as how to reflect the actual moon's patterns on the surface. - The solution I arrived at was a moon texture map. - I divided it into a watermelon shape to use as a template for a balloon, creating a spherical balloon printed with the moon's patterns, and then molded transparent FRP over it. - Finally, I hypothesized that by extracting the balloon through a hole for fixing the upper lighting, I could achieve a pattern and mottled appearance closer to actual data, and I produced a small balloon for testing. - I also focused on painting to create a clean, thin, and uniform finish, incorporating actual lighting as much as possible. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
