We would like to introduce the work carried out at a 400 kW high-voltage power plant located in Kasai City, Hyogo Prefecture. At this power plant, abnormal alarms from the plant equipment occurred continuously for several days. Upon investigation, it was determined that the cause was a poor crimping of the internal circuit board, which was recognized as covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Therefore, the existing power conditioner was replaced with a new one. In this case, the power generation company had previously installed remote monitoring equipment and outsourced maintenance, which allowed for the early identification of the issue. If such measures are not taken, it is conceivable that the power conditioner could be left inoperative for an extended period, potentially resulting in sales losses ranging from hundreds of thousands to millions.
