- The surface strength of the paper is improved, enhancing printability. - General drying strength, such as internal strength, is increased. - There is no need for gelatinization; it can be used simply by diluting with water. - The viscosity of the coating liquid is low, making it less likely to cause jumping or misting during size press coating, enabling high-speed coating. - It can be mixed with oxidized starch or polyvinyl alcohol in any ratio. - The amount of polymer that dissolves in water when the coated paper is disintegrated is low, resulting in lower COD compared to PVA or starch, and it also has reduced foaming properties.
