We would like to introduce the effects of FFC on disease resistance, as investigated by the Akatsuka Botanical Garden Biological Function Development Research Institute. When infected with powdery mildew, leaves typically die off, but the cucumber leaves grown in our FFC experimental field remained green and healthy. Why does this happen? We conducted experiments using barley and observed the formation rate of stomata in the cotyledon sheaths floated in FFC-treated water. We also compared cytoplasmic aggregation (CA) and papilla formation. [Experimental Results] ■ FFC treatment decreased the stomatal formation rate → Suggests that FFC treatment suppresses the infection of pathogens. ■ FFC treatment resulted in the formation of larger papillae → Suggests that FFC treatment enhances resistance to pathogen invasion. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
