The heat exchanger uses titanium tubes, which offer semi-permanent corrosion resistance compared to other metals in saltwater, and do not leach metal ions that could affect the survival of marine life, making it suitable for live fish tanks. It is hygienic as there is no red rust or leaching of metal ions.
