We will introduce a case study of energy-saving measures that combine automatic damper control for power reduction.
There was a challenge of wanting to eliminate wasted electricity because we are suctioning all hoods without overlapping operations. Therefore, we determined the suction points that can be linked with the hood 'open' and verified the energy-saving effects from the fan performance characteristics based on the correlation between the simultaneous suction count and the required airflow. From a cost-effectiveness perspective, we considered specific implementation if it was an effective measure. As a result, we were able to reduce unnecessary power loss and, in addition to damper control, it became possible to further enhance energy-saving effects by considering combinations with inverters. 【Case Study】 <Problems> ■ The 'open-close' operation of the airflow control damper is manual, leading to usage in 'open' mode even when the hood is not in use. ■ Since all dampers are in the 'open' position, the required airflow increases, resulting in significant electricity waste. <Benefits> ■ Reduction of unnecessary power loss. ■ It is also possible to further enhance energy-saving effects by considering combinations with inverters, in addition to damper control. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
