Ensuring seismic performance by rehabilitating aging pipes! There is no risk of damaging nearby buried objects.
The "Seismic One-Shot-kun (Medium Diameter)" is a non-excavation seismic reinforcement method developed to add seismic performance against level 2 seismic motions by modifying the manhole connection part to a flexible structure before rehabilitation. The construction involves using a specialized cutting machine to cut and remove the existing pipes within the thickness of the manhole wall without penetrating into the surrounding ground. A stainless steel collar is then bonded and fixed in place, and two layers of seismic rubber rings with elasticity and water-tightness are installed. Elastic wet epoxy resin is filled into the gap between the manhole wall and the seismic rubber rings to secure them. After applying this method to the upstream and downstream manhole connection parts, the construction of the rehabilitation pipe allows for the seismic reinforcement of both the rehabilitation pipe and the manhole connection part. 【Features】 ■ Applicable pipe diameters are from an inner diameter of 450mm to less than 800mm, with a manhole depth of up to 10m. ■ Addresses bending, extraction, and protrusion of pipes due to level 2 seismic motions. ■ Does not affect the performance (nominal diameter, strength, elasticity, etc.) of the rehabilitation pipe. ■ The specialized cutting machine can only cut and remove the existing pipes within the thickness of the manhole wall. ■ Since it does not penetrate into the surrounding ground, there is no risk of damaging nearby buried objects. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

basic information
【Construction Procedure】 (1) Disassemble the cutting machine for transport and assemble it inside the existing pipe. (2) Cut and remove the existing pipe and invert as needed to insert the seismic rubber ring. (3) Attach a stainless steel collar to the cut and removed section of the existing pipe. (4) Insert the seismic rubber ring and joint elastic material around the stainless steel collar. (5) Carry out the pipe rehabilitation work. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
