Extensive grip/jig usage is possible! It enables easy and error-free operation.
The "2580 Series Static Load Cell" is designed for use with the 5900 testing system, providing excellent performance with the ability to measure loads at 1/1000 of the load capacity with an accuracy of 0.5% of the reading. With automatic recognition and automatic calibration features, this series of load cells is easy to operate, can withstand loads up to 150% of the load capacity without damage, and does not experience mechanical failure even under loads of up to 300%. All Instron load cells are individually temperature compensated and undergo accuracy and reproducibility testing with traceable calibration instruments according to international standards, resulting in measurement uncertainty being less than 1/3 of the load cell's allowable error. 【Features】 ■ Load capacity: ±500 N to ±600 kN (50 to 60,000 kgf) ■ Suitable for a wide range of test types (including tension, compression, single and double swing repeated stress, etc.) ■ Overload capacity of 150% of load capacity - reduces the risk of damage ■ Fixture weight of 10% of load capacity - allows for extensive use of grips/fixtures *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

basic information
【Other Features】 ■ By measuring loads up to 1/1000 of the load cell capacity, the measurement range of a single load cell is expanded, reducing the number of load cells needed and eliminating the necessity to replace them. ■ Automatic identification and calibration functions using electronic serial numbers enable easy and error-free operation. ■ Optional quick change and piggyback adapters make it easy to replace load cells. ■ High-precision machining and assembly, along with high axial and lateral rigidity, facilitate the maintenance of system alignment. ■ A wide tolerance range for offset loads allows for highly accurate measurements. ■ Complies with international standards for load measurement such as ASTM E4, ISO 7500-1 Class 0.5, and JIS B7721, B7733. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Instron was founded in 1946 by Harold Hindman and George Bahl, who were conducting joint research at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) at the time. They developed the world's first electromechanical (screw-type) universal testing machine. The name "Instron" is derived from "instrument" and "electronics." Instron's product range offers diversity that can cater to almost all global markets and industries, and since its establishment, over 70 years of testing technology and manufacturing experience have been built, with more than 50,000 systems operating worldwide. In 1965, Instron Japan was established to support customers in Japan. Currently, it has major bases in the United States, Europe, and Asia, providing sales and services in 40 languages through agents in 160 countries around the world.
