Achieved plating on urethane RIM molded products that were physically impossible!
"Urethane plating" is a patented technology that applies our proprietary "release agent-free manufacturing method" to form a coating of solvent-based thermoplastic resin on the surface of urethane molded products, which is then used for plating. Since it is physically impossible to plate urethane resin, it had not been put into practical use, but by utilizing our technology, it has become possible to mold plated products. Furthermore, by also using the "three-dimensional decorative method," it is possible to apply plating to products with three-dimensional embossed decorations, enabling the realization of designs that were previously considered impractical. 【Release Agent-Free Manufacturing Process】 ■ Melted ABS resin is dissolved in a solvent and applied to a mold to form a coating; after that, the mold is closed, and urethane resin is injected into the space to integrate it with the ABS resin coating. ↓ ■ After molding, the product is placed into an existing ABS resin plating line for plating treatment. ↓ ■ For the coating when applying direct electroplating, a mixture containing ABS carbon powder is used. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
