Extending the lifespan of piping! Case study of the "NMR Pipe Protector" at City, University of London.
City, University of London is one of the famous universities located in North London, and it uses SGP for its air conditioning hot water piping. The piping in buildings over 40 years old was experiencing red rust corrosion. To completely protect the piping from red rust corrosion, NMR pipe protectors were installed. Before installation, the iron content in the water due to red rust was 3.407 mg/l, but two weeks after installation, the iron content decreased to 0.084 mg/l. This demonstrated that the NMR pipe protectors prevented the occurrence of new red rust in the piping and reduced existing red rust to inert black rust. With the conversion of red rust to black rust, the piping was completely protected from red rust corrosion, allowing the air conditioning hot water piping to be usable for over 40 years. ▼For more details, please see the related link▼
