【Wet Type】 The main raw material is iron oxide, to which a few percent of strontium is added, mixed with water to create a slurry (muddy water), and then placed in a mold for press forming. Since the forming is done in a magnetic field, the smallest units of the magnets align in one direction, resulting in an anisotropic magnet. After sintering in a furnace, polishing and cleaning processes are performed to improve the dimensional accuracy of the height. 【Dry Type】 The raw material consists of powder that has been granulated, which is then press-formed and sintered in a furnace. Although the magnetic force is about 7% lower than that of the wet type, it has the characteristic of being able to perform operations such as chamfering during press forming, unlike the wet type.
