There are two types of rare earth magnets: neodymium magnets (Nd-Fe-B) and samarium-cobalt magnets (Sm-Co). Samarium-cobalt magnets (Sm-Co) are one of the rare earth magnets with strong magnetic force and are heat-resistant. While neodymium magnets are limited to use below 80°C, samarium-cobalt magnets can withstand high temperatures of up to 350°C without significant demagnetization, and they are also resistant to rust, making them ideal for components in medical devices and sensors. Although they have some challenges in mechanical strength, like neodymium magnets, they can also achieve miniaturization and weight reduction of products.
