We would like to introduce a case where our "silt fence (pollution prevention membrane)" was implemented at Marugame Port fishing harbor. A large amount of blue-green algae was floating in from the irrigation channel, causing problems by attaching to moored vessels and fishing gear. We conducted a site survey with the user, discussed durability and installation methods, and proposed a design tailored to the site conditions, including estimation, manufacturing, and installation. The pollution prevention membrane can be widely used not only for river and harbor construction but also for trash prevention at water intake points, preventing red tide from entering aquaculture rafts, and for jellyfish prevention at swimming beaches.
