Japan is a kingdom of shutters. When walking down the street, you will always see houses with shutters. At the time of its founding, the overhead type garage door was primarily used in factories, warehouses, fire stations, and the Self-Defense Forces. It was extremely rare for it to be chosen for residential use in terms of design, and the product had very low recognition. In particular, wooden garage doors were circulating during a time when poor-quality imported products were prevalent, leading to issues with durability and a lack of knowledge among those handling them, resulting in constant complaints from users. It seems that residential builders rarely recommended them to clients. As an alternative product, major manufacturers commissioned Japanese building material manufacturers to produce panels and sold them using their own hardware, but compared to imported products, they were very expensive and became ultra-high-end products used only by a small number of wealthy individuals. Amidst this situation, our company president, Takayanagi, thought, "Is it possible to produce a domestically made product that is inexpensive and of good quality?" and "I want more people to know the benefits of garage doors," leading to the development of wooden garage doors.
