A compact printer for full-color wooden tablets, prayer boards, and long text.

The long, narrow wooden board used to honor ancestors during memorial services, Obon, and Higan at temples and cemeteries is called "sotoba." It includes long inscriptions of Sanskrit characters, posthumous names, and the names of the donors, which are often difficult to write due to the lack of available fonts on computers, leading to mistakes that require monks to rewrite them multiple times. Recently, there has also been a shortage of monks who can write sotoba. The NT-610G printer allows anyone, even those who are not skilled with computers, to easily print sotoba, with the capability to print six at once. It can print boards that are 2 to 3 inches wide and 8±1 mm thick by aligning them in a dedicated slot. It can also print on boards of various dimensions brought in unexpectedly, as long as they are 9 mm thick or less, including wooden boards. For boards that are 7 mm or less, spacers can be used to facilitate printing. Since Sanskrit characters do not exist as fonts on computers, you can scan the handwritten characters from the previous chief priest's sotoba and save them as images like JPEG. By pasting these images into an Excel sheet and entering the variable parts such as posthumous names and donor names below, you can achieve complete sotoba printing. Additionally, it is possible to print six sotoba simultaneously for others. Even long names for pets can be printed without exceeding the board's edges. The NT-610G is compact and can be folded down to a smaller size when not in use.
