A. Front/Rear Attachment Attachments located at the front and back of the actuator for mounting the actuator to the application. TiMOTION's attachment styles include circular, U-shaped (or grooved), and punched hole types. The attachments can be customized by TiMOTION to best fit the application used. B. Outer Tube Also known as the cover tube. This tube, made of extruded aluminum or steel, protects the exterior of the linear actuator and houses all internal components of the actuator. C. Inner Tube Known as the extension tube or drive tube, it can also be translated as tube or piston. This tube is typically made of aluminum or steel. A spindle is placed within the inner tube while it is retracted. This tube is attached to a threaded drive nut, and it extends and retracts as the nut moves along the rotating spindle.

D. Spindle Also known as lead screw, rotating screw, or lifting screw. This part of the linear actuator rotates and extends or retracts the nut/inner tube to produce linear motion. Our steel spindles guarantee durability and strength. The spindle can be threaded in various ways for different load and speed functions. Further details on this will be explained in another section. E. Safety Stop Located at the end of the spindle, its function is to prevent the inner tube from extending excessively. F. Wiper A sealing component attached to the end of the outer tube, preventing contaminants such as dust and liquids from entering the actuator's spindle area. It also ensures proper sealing between the inner tube and outer tube, which affects the linear actuator's IP rating.
