In 2020, Ars's harvesting blades were adopted for the automatic harvesting robot for cherry tomatoes. Initially, the implementing company planned to develop an automatic harvesting robot, including a dedicated blade, but faced difficulties in designing the scissors, which led to delays. Since scissors have two blades, they are more challenging to design compared to single-blade knives or kitchen knives. The implementing company decided to forgo in-house development and requested our company, a manufacturer of agricultural and horticultural cutting tools, to develop the dedicated blades.
