Non-destructive testing services focused on the detection of embedded objects in concrete structures.
Non-destructive testing services focused on concrete structures to ensure the safety and security of your residence and infrastructure.
◇Radar Survey◇ We conduct surveys to locate rebar, as well as to measure the thickness of tiles, mortar, and concrete, and to investigate buried electrical conduits. We perform surveys not only for architectural structures but also for civil engineering structures. Additionally, we investigate underground buried objects and voids in the ground. ◇Electromagnetic Induction Survey◇ We perform measurements using electromagnetic induction methods that strongly react to rebar, allowing us to confirm the positions and cover thickness of shallow rebar. This is used in inspections of newly constructed concrete structures and cover thickness surveys. We can also investigate metal fittings and braces behind tiles or boards. In underground surveys, we conduct investigations of buried piping and pipeline surveys. ◇X-ray Survey◇ We can visually confirm the positions of buried objects such as rebar and electrical conduits within concrete as images. This method is used in cases where the area is narrow or where complex reinforcement and buried pipes are intertwined. ◇Sounding Survey, Visual Inspection, Exterior Wall Repair Work◇ We regularly conduct inspections and repairs of deteriorated areas before tiles and finishing materials of buildings peel off and fall, causing accidents. Furthermore, we believe that not only the development of our company but also the growth of the entire construction industry contributes to society. Therefore, we assist in collaborative experiments and research with various research institutions and in the preparation of papers. We also conduct training sessions on surveys for other companies in the same industry to promote the sharing of technology and information.

Applications/Examples of results
◇Radar Survey◇ A survey conducted before renovation work on concrete structures to locate rebar, check the thickness of tiles, mortar, and concrete, and identify embedded electrical conduits. ◇Electromagnetic Induction Survey◇ A survey that can confirm the position of shallow rebar and the cover thickness. ◇X-ray Survey◇ A survey conducted in cases where the area is narrow or where complex reinforcement and buried pipes are intertwined. It can be performed accurately when a person can access the back side of the survey area and the thickness is approximately 300 mm or less. ◇Non-destructive Testing of Tunnels and Bridges / Concrete Testing◇ - Measurement of rebar cover thickness (completion inspection) - Concrete strength testing - Concrete permeability testing (Permatol) - Concrete water permeability testing (SWAT) *For detailed achievements, please visit our website (https://www.rgk.jp/).*

Company information
Radar Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. is the only investigation and exploration company in Japan that possesses knowledge and correct usage methods for almost all exploration devices available in Japan, including new products. We hold overwhelming technical knowledge in electromagnetic wave radar methods and electromagnetic induction methods, as well as expertise in exploration equipment and field experience at a remarkably high level as engineers. Since our establishment, we have conducted investigations and explorations of concrete structures not only for large-scale earthquake disaster responses but also for aging deterioration measures, providing services that ensure the safety and security of homes and infrastructure through non-destructive testing focused on the exploration of embedded objects in concrete structures. Our engineers and sales representatives, who have worked for a long time as both manufacturers and agents of rebar exploration devices, underground embedded object exploration devices, and electromagnetic induction rebar exploration devices, have grown by actively engaging in the most challenging exploration cases while learning specialized knowledge and usage methods from various manufacturers' exploration equipment. Additionally, leveraging the network we have built over many years, we also handle the rental of non-destructive testing equipment and conduct training sessions on equipment operation. Our goal is to provide "careful and cautious exploration with accuracy" by utilizing our high level of technology and experience. Please do not hesitate to contact us for important and challenging exploration work.
