The CMEX5 developed by TRAMEX can non-destructively measure the moisture content of concrete, just like the conventional CMEX2. It allows for easy measurement of moisture content by simply pressing it lightly against the concrete. It now features Bluetooth functionality, enabling the use of a dedicated app to check measurement values. To measure/detect the moisture content of concrete (material), firmly press the pins (terminals) of the measuring surface against the concrete surface. An electric field is generated from the tip of the pins, and the capacitance is measured. In other words, capacitance is measured by generating a low-frequency alternating electric field between the electrodes. If the capacitance is high, it indicates that the moisture content is also high.
