The Ishinomaki Station Front Vibrant Exchange Square is one of the projects initiated in 2014 as part of the "Ishinomaki Station Area Tsunami Reconstruction Base Development Project," and it was developed alongside the reconstruction of the Ishinomaki City Hospital. In light of the lessons learned from the Great East Japan Earthquake, it will be utilized as a distribution point for food and relief supplies for evacuees during disasters.
