As a representative example, titanium dioxide particles are widely known, but they cannot self-bond to the substrate material, so it is necessary to mix in a binder, such as an adhesive, to bond them to the substrate. When comparing conventional photocatalysts with a dispersion of titanium dioxide nanoparticles, "nanotita pro," on substrates such as metal, wood, plastic, and fabric, it was found that titanium nanoparticles bond due to quantum forces, eliminating the need for a binder.
