Confirmed that there are no issues with the water storage function! Here is an introduction to the situation of wooden water tanks during the Great East Japan Earthquake.
In March 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake, which became an unprecedented disaster, occurred. Our company had supplied wooden water tanks to hospitals in the vicinity of the affected area. One of these was the Fukushima Labor Accident Hospital. After the disaster, we visited the site and confirmed that there were no leaks, except for some manholes and electrical components, and that the water storage function was completely intact. Similarly, the underground water tank at the Tohoku Labor Accident Hospital (Sendai) also showed no leaks or damage. At our hospital, due to the absence of damage and water leaks in the wooden water tanks after the disaster, it was possible to use water within the facility for three days after the water supply was cut off.
